I have owned 2 of the Current Backyard Model G Dual Zone electric grills. The first one did not last one full day and night. Left it on the deck overnight and when I came out in the morning I couldn't see it. The wind had picked it up and it traveled to the end of the electric cord then swung across the deck and was laying a over a dozen pieces. I bought a second one and this time removed the wheels and built some solid feet (Current Backyard does not have a kit for this) and tied it down. No more movement. However, I left the cover off because I was using it over a weekend and it got rained on the next day. Now every time I turn it on it triggers the GCFI and shuts off. As the review says these are very a light, I would say extremely light, build. A strong gust of wind can and will result in the side covers popping off. When working it is a great concept. For the price, in my opinion, it is just not well built. It might work if you can either locate it in a very sheltered area or take in inside a garage after use
DO NOT BUY A CURRENT GRILL! We have had problems since the day we got ours. Their customer service is terrible, and we obviously have a defective grill. We reported it to Current immediately, but then were away from our home for many months. They never returned calls. Upon our return, we could still not get it to clean or work properly. They claimed that they tried to reach us but the calls would not go through. Seriously? We have had the same phone numbers for 5 years. We also have email, etc. and they knew it. We have now been getting a complete run-around on what they will do since it's still under a year warranty! But, I have no trust, and no desire to keep fighting this battle. For almost $1,000 this is absolutely NOT RECOMMENDED and there are other electric grills out there from companies who demonstrate that they care about their customers.
